AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE
ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH SMITH & RUSSO, INC. FOR
THE AYERS STREET IMPROVEMENTS FROM SANTA FE TO NORTON WHICH
PROVIDES FOR ADDITIONAL DESIGN WORK FOR WATERLINE
REPLACEMENT WITHIN THE PROJECT AREA; AND APPROPRIATING
$3,600.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
Amendment No. 1 to the Engineering Services Contract with Smith & Russo, Inc.
for the Ayers Street Improvements from Santa Fe to Norton which provides for
additional design work for waterline replacement within the project area, all as
more fully set forth in the amendment, a substantial copy of which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $3,600 from the No. 561
Street Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 561-86-12.1, Ayers Street/Santa Fe to
Norton Street.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
AYERS STREET IMPROVEMENTS, SANTA FE TO NORTON

The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, hereinafter called "City" and Smith &
Russo, Inc., hereinafter called "Engineer", agree to the following amendment
to the Contract for Engineering Services for the Ayers Street Improvements,
Santa Fe to Norton, as authorized by Ordinance No. 19737, passed May 12, 1987.
Section II, Scope of Services, Subsection B, (Design Phase), shall be
amended to provide for the inclusion of the design of the replacement of water
lines throughout the project.
Section III, Fee, shall be amended to provide additional compensation to
the Engineer in the amount of $3,600.00 for added services as defined above.
All other terms and conditions of the contract approved on May 12, 1987,
between the City and Engineer not specifically addressed herein, shall remain
in full force and effect.
