AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE CONTRACT
FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH MAVERICK ENGINEERING COMPANY
PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION FOR AN INCREASED SCOPE
OF WORK TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL PLAN PREPARATION FOR ROADWAY
TRANSITION AND STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS; AND APPROPRIATING
$5,402.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager .is hereby authorized to execute
Amendment No. 1 to the contract for engineering services with Maverick
Engineering Company providing for additional compensation for an increased scope
of work to include additional plan preparation for roadway transition and storm
sewer improvements, all as more fully set forth in the amendment, a substantial
copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $5,402 from the 561
Street Bond Fund applicable to Project 561-86-21.1, Agnes Street/Port Avenue to
Airport Road.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR
AGNES STREET IMPROVEMENTS, AIRPORT ROAD TO PORT AVENUE

The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, hereinafter called "City" and Maverick
Engineering Company, Consulting Engineers, hereinafter called "Engineer",
agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Engineering Services for
the Agnes Street Improvements, Airport Road to Port Avenue, as authorized by
Ordinance No. 19630, passed February 17, 1987.
Section II, Scope of Services, Subsection B, Design Phase, shall be
amended to provide for the inclusion of the design of the transition from
Airport Road westerly approximately 700 feet and additional drafting work
associated with the storm sewer outfall along Port Avenue.
Section III, Fee, shall be amended to provide additional compensation to
the Engineer in the amount of $5,402.00 for the added services as defined
above.
All other terms and conditions to the contract approved on February 17,
1987, between the City and Engineer not specifically addressed herein, shall
remain in full force and effect.
