HomeMy WebLinkAbout020167 RES - 01/19/1988A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 20102, RULES OF DECORUM, BY PROVIDING SUCH RULES ARE NOT MEANT TO RESTRAIN A CITIZEN'S FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Rules of Decorum attached to Resolution 20102 as Exhibit A be amended by adding the following sentence at the end of the first paragraph: "However, none of these rules are meant to restrain a citizen's First Amendment rights." SECTION 2. That the Rules of Decorum attached to Resolution 20102 as Exhibit A be amended by adding the following sentence at the end of Rule No. 6: "However, this rule is not meant to restrain a citizen's First Amendment rights." SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
