AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH HAAS PAVING
COMPANY, INC. FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF STREETS IN THE McNORTON
AREA, INCLUDING CURB, GUTTER, SIDEWALK, DRIVEWAYS,
UNDERGROUND STORM SEWER SYSTEM, AND WATERLINE REPLACEMENT;
APPROPRIATING $1,215,110.67.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Haas Paving Company, Inc. for reconstruction of streets in the
McNorton Area, including curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveways, underground storm
sewer system, and waterline replacement, all as more fully set forth in plans
and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City
Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the
bid of Haas Paving Company, Inc., said bid being the lowest and most
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $121,352 from the
No. 205 Water Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 205-87-44-2.7, McNorton
Waterline Improvements, and $1,093,758.67 from the No. 220 Street Bond Fund
applicable to Project No. 220-82-7.10, McNorton Area Street Improvements, for a
total of $1,215,110.67 of which $1,076,854.55 is for the contract award and
$138,256.12 is for contingencies, testing, printing, additional engineering,
appraisal services, and legal advertising.
