HomeMy WebLinkAbout020181 ORD - 01/26/1988AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 19892 WHICH ADOPTED THE 1987-88 BUDGET BY DELETING THE POSITIONS OF ONE ASSISTANT POLICE CHIEF AND ONE POLICE COMMANDER VACATED DUE TO ATTRITION; ADDING POSITIONS FOR FOUR (4) POLICE OFFICERS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance 19892 which adopted the 1987-88 fiscal year budget is hereby amended by amending page 307 to delete the position of one Assistant Chief of Police to be vacated due to attrition, and amending page 309 to delete the position of one Police Commander vacated due to retirement, for the purpose of incurring a budgetary savings of approximately $120,425.00 (including benefits) in fiscal year 1987-88 and to support the ongoing restructuring operations of and within the City of Corpus Christi Police Department. SECTION 2. That Ordinance 19892 which adopted the 1987-88 fiscal year budget is hereby amended by amending page 343 to add positions for four (4) police officers, and amending page 343 to add $105,152.00 to the operating budget of the Uniform Division of the Corpus Christi Police Department, made available by the deletions of positions as specified in Section 1. This amendment therefore results in a $15,273.00 budgetary surplus. SECTION 3.
