AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH BACKHOE LEASE
SERVICE, INC. FOR THE RELOCATION OF A SANITARY SEWER LINE TO
CLEAR PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF A RAW WATER RESERVOIR AT THE
0. N. STEVENS WATER TREATMENT PLANT; APPROPRIATING $115,000.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Backhoe Lease Service, Inc. for the relocation of a sanitary sewer
line to clear proposed construction of a raw water reservoir at the
0. N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant, all as more fully set forth in plans and
specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City
Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the
bid of Backhoe Lease Service, Inc., said bid being the lowest and most
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $57,500 from the No. 205
Water Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 205-88-44-1.1, 0. N. Stevens Plant
Sanitary Sewer Relocation, and $57,500 from the No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund
applicable to Project No. 250-88-44-1.1, 0. N. Stevens Plant Sanitary Sewer
Relocation, for a total of $115,000 of which $99,964 is for the contract award
and $15,036 is for contingencies, engineering, testing, printing, and legal
advertising.
