AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH A. ORTIZ
CONSTRUCTION & PAVING, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALK
IMPROVEMENTS ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF GLENOAK DRIVE FROM
WALDRON ROAD TO ST. PETER STREET; APPROPRIATING $45,331.37.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with A. Ortiz Construction & Paving, Inc. for the construction of
sidewalk improvements along the south side of Glenoak Drive from Waldron Road to
St. Peter Street, all as more fully set forth in plans and specifications and
contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are
made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of A. Ortiz
Construction & Paving, Inc., said bid being the lowest and most advantageous to
the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $45,331.37 from the
No. 561 Street Bond Fund of which $35,794.00 is for the contract award and
$9,537.37 is for contingencies, additional engineering, testing, printing and
legal advertising applicable to Project No. 561-86-24.1, Glenoak Sidewalks.
