AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH KING -ISLES,
INC. FOR THE RELOCATION OF WATER AND WASTEWATER LINES ALONG
PARK ROAD 22 BETWEEN WALDRON ROAD AND THE LAGUNA MADRE;
APPROPRIATING $1,190,541.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with King -Isles, Inc. for the relocation of water and wastewater lines
along Park Road 22 between Waldron Road and the Laguna Madre, all as more fully
set forth in plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the
office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference
and according to the bid of King -Isles, Inc., said bid being the lowest and most
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $394,350 from the
No. 205 Water Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 205-87-44-2.11, Park Road 22
Waterline Adjustments, and $796,191 from the No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund
applicable to Project No. 250-87-44-5.1, Park Road 22 Sewerline Adjustments, for
a total of $1,190,541 of which $1,096,230 is for the contract award and $94,311
is for contingencies, right-of-way acquisition, testing, printing, and legal
advertising.
