AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE UPON APPLICATION OF OUR HOUSE,
INC. A TEXAS CORPORATION, BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN
REFERENCE TO LOTS 45-51, INCLUSIVE, PORTIONS OF LOTS 13-22,
INCLUSIVE, LOTS 43, 44, AND 52, AND A PORTION OF THE FORMER
WACO STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, BLOCK 1114, PORT ARANSAS CLIFFS,
FROM "A-1" APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT TO "A-2" APARTMENT HOUSE
DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its
reports and recommendations concerning the application of Our House, Inc., a
Texas Corporation for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi.
WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing
to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council
of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public,
said public hearing having been held on Tuesday, March 1, 1988, during a meeting
of the City Council in the Council Chamber at City Hall in the City of Corpus
Christi; and
WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by
the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best
serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the
City of Corpus Christi and its citizens:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi,
Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out.
SECTION 2. That the zoning on Lots 45-51, inclusive, portions of
Lots 13-22, inclusive, Lots 43, 44, and 52, and a portion of the former Waco
Street right-of-way, Block 1114, Port Aransas Cliffs, in the City of Corpus
Christi, Nueces County, Texas, further described by metes and bounds attached
hereto as Exhibit A, be changed from "A-1" Apartment House District to "A-2"
Apartment House District.
SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained.
SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus
Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August, 1937, as amended from time
to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.

SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning
change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring
suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is pas ed and shall ake effect
upofirst reading as an emergency measure this the 1 day of

FIELD NOTE DESCRIPTION
Being a tract situated in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas
consisting of Lots 45-51, inclusive, and portions of Lots 13-22,
inclusive, and Lots 43, 44 and 52 and a portion of the former
Waco Street right-of-way, Block 1114, Port Aransas Cliffs as shown
on the map thereof recorded in Volume A at Page 27 of the Map Re-
cords of Nueces County, Texas and being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 5/8 inch iron rod in Lot 22, Block 1114,
Port Aransas Cliffs, the most westerly corner of Lot
6D of the H.E. Butt tract, as shown on a map recorded
in Volume 38, Page 4, said Map Records, for the north
corner of this tract;
THENCE along the southwesterly boundary of said Lot 6D
across Lots 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14 and a
portion of 13, Block 1114, Port Aransas Cliffs, S 31°
06' 00" E a distance of 235.70 feet to a 5/8 inch iron
rod for the east corner of this tract;
THENCE S 58° 54' 00" W across a portion of Lot 13, Lot
52 and a portion of the former Waco Street right-of-way
a distance of 229.25 feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod on the
present northeasterly right-of-way line of Fort Worth
Street for the south corner of this tract;
THENCE along said northeasterly right-of-way line of Fort
Worth Street N 31° 06' 00" W a distance of 178.31 feet to
a 5/8 inch iron rod for the west corner of this tract;
THENCE along the southeasterly boundary of Lot 5 of the
H.E. Butt tract, as shown on a map recorded in Volume 32,
Page 30, said Map Records across a portion of the former
Waco Street right-of-way, Lots 44, 43 and a portion of
22, Block 1114, Port Aransas Cliffs, N 45° 00' 00" E,
236.17 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING forming a tract of
47,380 square feet (1.088 acre).

or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three

and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
