AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH CHANNEL
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. FOR THE SLIPLINING OF
APPROXIMATELY 7,300 LINEAR FEET OF 42" DIAMETER SANITARY
SEWER TRUNK MAIN ALONG CURTIS CLARK FROM EAST OF STAPLES
STREET TO EVERHART ROAD AND ALONG EVERHART ROAD FROM CURTIS
CLARK TO BONNER STREET; APPROPRIATING $1,247,620.59.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Channel Construction Company, Inc. for the sliplining of
approximately 7,300 linear feet of 42" diameter sanitary sewer trunk main along
Curtis Clark from east of Staples Street to Everhart Road and along Everhart
Road from Curtis Clark to Bonner Street, all as more fully set forth in plans
and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City
Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the
bid of Channel Construction Company, Inc., said bid being the lowest and most
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $1,247,620.59 from the
No. 501 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund of which $1,160,607.15 is for the contract
award and $87,013.44 is for contingencies, additional engineering, testing,
printing and legal advertising applicable to Project No. 501-87-44-2.1, Oso
Sliplining, Phase IV.
