AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE
ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH URBAN ENGINEERING
PROVIDING FOR THE MODIFICATION OF PLANS TO EXPAND THE
WESTSIDE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT TO 6 MGD RATHER THAN
8 MGD; AND APPROPRIATING $59,000.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
Amendment No. 2 to the Engineering Services Contract with Urban Engineering
providing for the modification of plans to expand the Westside Wastewater
Treatment Plant to 6 MGD rather than 8 MGD, all as more fully set forth in the
amendment, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, marked Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $59,000 from the No. 501
Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund applicable to Project No. 501-86-2.1, Westside Plant
Expansion.

AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE
CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
WESTSIDE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF NUECES
The City of Corpus Christi hereinafter referred to as "City" and Urban
Engineering hereinafter referred to as "Engineer", hereby agree to the
following amendment to the contract for Step 1 engineering services to be
performed on the Westside Wastewater Treatment plant, approved by the
Corpus Christi City Council by Ordinance No. 19651 on March 5, 1987 and
which was amended by Ordinance 19738 on May 12, 1987 by changing the
following terms and conditions:
SECTION A. SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED
3. The design capacity of the plant will be amended from an 8 M.G.D.
wastewater treatment facility to a 6 M.G.D. treatment facility
and includes the elimination of the odor control at the plant
headworks and the force main from the Arcadia Lift Station to
the Westside Facility.
SECTION B. COMPENSATION
1. The fee shall be amended to a total lump sum fee of $722000.00.
The provisions of this amendment specifically replace those
provisions of the engineering contract and the referenced amendment
referred to herein with all other terms and conditions remaining in full
force and effect.
