AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH BACKHOE LEASE
SERVICE, INC. FOR THE EXTENSION OF A 12 -INCH DIAMETER
WATERLINE ALONG YORKTOWN BOULEVARD FROM CIMARRON BOULEVARD
TO WEST LOGAN AVENUE; APPROPRIATING $86,969.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Backhoe Lease Service, Inc. for the extension of a 12 -inch
diameter waterline along Yorktown Boulevard from Cimarron Boulevard to West
Logan Avenue, all as more fully set forth in plans and specifications and
contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are
made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of Backhoe Lease
Service, Inc., said bid being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of
Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $86,969 from the No. 143
Water Trust Fund of which $81,799.05 is for the contract award and $5,169.95 is
for contingencies, testing, printing and legal advertising applicable to Project
No. 143-246.95, Yorktown Boulevard Waterline Extension (Water Grid and Arterial
Transmission Mains Trust Fund).
