HomeMy WebLinkAbout020278 ORD - 04/26/1988AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 19793 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON THE FOLLOWING STREET: Lamar -East Area 1. 18th Street, from Morgan Avenue to Coleman Avenue and from Coleman Avenue to Dead -End; 2. Craig Street, Hancock and Coleman Avenues, from 19th Street to 17th Street; 3. 17th Street, from Mary Street to Marguerite Street; 4. 18th Street, (pavement only), from Mary Street to Agnes Street; and 5. Marguerite Street (pavement only), from 18th Street to the Crosstown Freeway. AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 19793, passed and approved June 9, 1987, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following street: Lamar -East Area 1. 18th Street, from Morgan Avenue to Coleman Avenue and from Coleman Avenue to Dead -End; 2. Craig Street, Hancock and Coleman Avenues, from 19th Street to 17th Street; 3. 17th Street, from Mary Street to Marguerite Street; 4. 18th Street, (pavement only), from Mary Street to Agnes Street; and 5. Marguerite Street (pavement only), from 18th Street to the Crosstown Freeway. a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit A. SECTION 2. Craig Street, Hancock and Coleman Avenues, from 19th Street To 17th Street, 3. 17th Street, from Mary Street To Marguerite Street, 4. 18th Street (pavement only), from Mary Street To Agnes Street, and 5. Marguerite Street (pavement only), from 18th Street To The Crosstown Freeway. These streets shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth to permit the laying of a standard 6" curb and gutter section, a compacted subgrade, 61" compacted lime stabilized subbase, 6" stabilized caliche base and 11" Type "D" Hot Asphaltic pavement. The streets will be 28' wide, BOC except that 23' and 24' of pavement with no curbs or gutters will be constructed on a portion of 18th and on Marguerite Street. There will be 4' or 5' wide reinforced concrete sidewalks, 4" thick and 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways constructed as shown on the plans. The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the City's current assessment policy.
