AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20129, WHICH CLOSED AND ABANDONED A
10 -FOOT WIDE PORTION OF SAN ANTONIO STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, BY
DECLARING VOID THE METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION ATTACHED AS
EXHIBIT A AND SUBSTITUTING THEREFOR A NEW METES AND BOUNDS
DESCRIPTION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 20129, passed December 22, 1987, which
closed and abandoned a 10 -foot wide portion of San Antonio Street right-of-way,
by declaring void the metes and bounds description attached thereto as Exhibit A
and substituting therefor the metes and bounds description as follows:
Being an irregularly shaped tract of land out of the existing 80 -foot
wide San Antonio Street right-of-way adjacent to Lots 48 through 54,
Block 215A, Port Aransas Cliffs Subdivision, shown by plat in
Volume A, Page 27, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, being further
described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point being on the north boundary of said Lot 48;
THENCE North 58° 54' East 10.64 feet to a point for the northmost
corner of this tract;
THENCE South 11° 06' East along a line that is 10 feet east of and
parallel to the existing west right-of-way of said San Antonio Street
a distance of 201.18 feet to a point of curvature of a circular curve
to the right;
THENCE in a southerly direction along the arc of said curve whose
central angle equals 70°, radius equals 9.09 feet, a distance of 11.11
feet to a point being the southmost corner of this tract and being a
point on the east right-of-way of Floyd Street;
THENCE North 31° 06' West along said Floyd Street right-of-way 30.03
feet to a point;
THENCE North 58° 54' East 6.65 feet to a point for an interior corner
of this tract;
THENCE North 11° 06' West 175.61 feet to the point of beginning and
containing 0.048 acres (2111.22 square feet) more or less.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an

emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this
ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance
or resolution, an emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule
as to consideration and voting upon ordinances or resolutions at three
regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule
and pass this ordinance or resolution finally on the date it is introduced,
or at the present meeting of the City Council.
