AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH CAT
CONTRACTING, INC. AND MICHIGAN SEWER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, A
JOINT VENTURE, TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION OF SANITARY
SEWER LINES TO SERVE THE NOTTARB PLACE SUBDIVISION;
APPROPRIATING $386,972.19.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with CAT Contracting, Inc. and Michigan Sewer Construction Company, a
Joint Venture, to complete the installation of sanitary sewer lines to serve the
Nottarb Place Subdivision, all as more fully set forth in plans and
specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City
Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the
bid of CAT Contracting, Inc. and Michigan Sewer Construction Company, a Joint
Venture, said bid being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus
Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $386,972.19 from the
No. 250 Sanitary Sewer Bond Fund to supplement previous appropriations of
$369,209.52, for a total of $756,181.71, of which $674,744 is for the contract
award and $81,437.71 is for additional engineering, contingencies, testing,
printing, and legal advertising applicable to Project No. 250-82-11.3, Nottarb
Place Sanitary Sewer Improvements, Phase II.
