HomeMy WebLinkAbout020327 ORD - 05/24/1988AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE, CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, DIVISION 16, AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE, SECTION 2-175, BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS FROM SEVEN TO TEN; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Code, Chapter 2, Administration, Division 16, Airport Advisory Committee, Section 2-175, Membership, is hereby amended to read as follows: (a) The Airport Advisory Committee shall consist of ten (10) members appointed by the city council for three-year terms. Upon the initial appointment of the three additional members to increase the Airport Advisory Committee from seven to ten members, two members shall serve for two-year terms, and one member shall serve for a one-year term. Thereafter all members shall serve for three-year terms such that the term of four members shall expire on a given year, and the term of three members shall expire each successive year for the next two years. SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3.
