AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH BACKHOE LEASE
SERVICE, INC. FOR THE ADJUSTMENT OF MANHOLES AND WATER
VALVES IN THE NEWLY OVERLAID SECTION OF WEBER ROAD BETWEEN
SOUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE AND SARATOGA BOULEVARD;
APPROPRIATING $20,000.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1 That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
contract with Back Lease Service, Inc. for the adjustment of manholes and
water valves in the newly overlaid section of Weber Road between South Padre
Island Drive and Saratoga Boulevard, all as more fully set forth in plans and
specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City
Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the
bid of Backhoe Lease Service, Inc., said bid being the lowest and most
advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $20,000 from the No. 562
Street Bond Fund of which $16,690 is for the contract award and $3,310 is for
contingencies, engineering and incidental and related expenses applicable to
Project No. 562-87-1.3, Weber Road Utility Cover Adjustments.
