HomeMy WebLinkAbout020364 ORD - 07/05/1988AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 4 WITH THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION TO FAA LICENSE NO. DOT-FA78SW-1073 TO PROVIDE A SITE FOR MALSR ON RUNWAY #13 AT CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a supplemental agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration, all as more fully set forth in Supplemental Agreement No. 4 to FAA License No. DOT-FA78SW-1073 to provide a site for a MALSR on Runway #13 at Corpus Christi International Airport, a substantial copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit A. SECTION 2. Aviation Administration, and the CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, hereinafter referred to as the Lioensor, whose address la 1000 International Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 76406-1601, WITNESSET That: WHEREAS, on tine 27th day of June 1980, the parties hereunto entered into License No. DOT-FA785W-1073 as amended by Supplemental Agreement Nos. 1, 2, ani 3, dated August a, 1981, July 26, 1984, and April 29, 1986, respectively, for the purposes and considerations stated in said license; and WHEREAS, the Government has a need to relocate the Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway Alignment Indicator Lights' (MALSR) power and control station 400 feet from the extended centerline of Runway 13; and WHEREAS, thea area required for the relocation is denoted on FAA Drawing SW -D -9924-1A; end WHEREAS, said license expires September 30, 1988, and the Governmnt has further need for this land. NOW, THEREFORE, effective October 1, 1988, the parties hereto mutually agree to amend the basic license, as amended, in the following particulars only, VIZ: The Lioensor grants to the Government a site upon whioh to relocate, install, operate, and maintain the MALSR on Runway 11, Corpus Christi International Airport, in accordance with FAA Drawing SW -D -9924-1A dated Fehruary 5, 1987, attanhed hereto and made a part hereof. The Liceneor agreea to extend the term of said lioense for an additional 10 years beginning October 1, 1988, and ending September 30, 1996.
