ADOPTING AND APPROVING THE FIVE-YEAR CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM A COPY OF WHICH IS ON
FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY SECRETARY.
WHEREAS, the voters approved various bonds totaling
$104.9 million for capital improvements at an election in April,
1986; and
WHEREAS, the City has other monies available for
capital improvement projects from other general obligation and
revenue bonds, Community Block Grants, Tax Reinvestment Zone
No. 1, Economic Development Trust Fund, and operating revenues
from the Water Fund; and
WHEREAS, to establish priorities and to provide proper
planning for implementing the Five -Year Capital Improvement
Program, City Staff prepared the Five -Year Capital Improvement
Program - 1989 - 1993; and
WHEREAS, said Five -Year Capital Improvement Program -
1989 - 1993 establishes priorities and ensures that these Capital
Improvements are properly implemented for the safety, health, and
welfare of the Citizens of the City of Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, said Five -Year Capital Improvement Program
1989 - 1993 is on file in the office of the City Secretary.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Five -Year Capital Improvement
Program 1989 - 1993, as filed in the office of the City
Secretary, and made a part hereof by this reference, the same as
if written herein, is hereby adopted, confirmed, ratified, and
approved by the City Council as the Five -Year Capital Improvement
Program 1989 - 1993 of the City of Corpus Christi.
