HomeMy WebLinkAbout020408 ORD - 07/26/1988AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE, CHAPTER 18, FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION, SECTION 18-2, PERMIT FEES, TO INCREASE CERTAIN PERMIT FEES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Code, Chapter 18, Fire Prevention and Protection, Section 18-2, Permit fees, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 18-2. Permit fees. Churches not having day care facilities can pay a one-time fee for an assembly occupancy. Burning permits will not be issued unless both Fire Prevention and Environmental Control Division approve the material to be burned. zones SECTION 2. That Section 1A, Permit Fees, of Ordinance 19590, adopted December 30, 1986, is hereby repealed and that all fees set forth by the Fire Prevention Code prior to this date are hereby superseded by this ordinance. SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3.
