AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND SUBMISSION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION
OF A PUBLIC WORKS APPLICATION PERTAINING TO THE DE DIETRICH (USA), INC., PROJECT
WHEREAS, De Dietrich (USA), Inc. has committed to building a large glass lined, high
pressure, vessel manufacturing facility in the Corpus Christi area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi has heretofore submitted a Public Works
Preapplication to the Economic Development Administration for a portion of the cost
of installation of water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure to the proposed site
for the manufacturing facility; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi has been invited to submit an application to the
Economic Development Administration for extension of utilities to the proposed site
of the facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and submit a
Public Works Application to the Economic Development Administration on behalf of the
De Dietrich (USA), Inc. project to build a manufacturing facility in an industrial
district of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, together with any and all documents
related to submission and/or acceptance of the grant.
