BY CHANGING THE ZONING MAP IN REFERENCE TO LOT 22, BLOCK 1, GOLLIHAR PARK 2 AND 2.465 ACRES OUT OF LOT 12, SECTION D, PAISLEY SUBDIVISION OF THE HOFFMAN TRACT FROM "R -1B" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT AND "R -1B" ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT WITH A SPECIAL PERMIT TO "A-1" APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has forwarded to the City Council its reports and recommendations concerning the application of Nueces County Senior Citizens, Inc. for amendment to the zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi. WHEREAS, public hearing was held at which hearing all persons wishing to appear and be heard were heard, to consider the same before the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, in accordance with proper notice to the public, said public hearing having been held on Tuesday, August 30, 1988, during a Council meeting of the City Council in the Council Chambers at City hall in the City of Corpus Christi; and WHEREAS, by motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was decided by the City Council that to approve the hereinafter set forth amendment would best serve public health, necessity and convenience and the general welfare of the City of Corpus Christi and its citizens: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, is amended by making the change hereinafter set out. SECTION 2. That the zoning on Lot 22, Block 1, Gollihar Park 2 and 2.465 acres, as more specifically described by metes and bounds description attached as Exhibit A, out of Lot 12, Section D, Paisley Subdivision of the Hoffman Tract in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, be changed from "R -1B" One -family Dwelling District and "R -1B" One -family Dwelling District with a Special Permit to "A-1" Apartment House District. SECTION 3. That the official zoning map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, be and the same is hereby, amended as herein ordained. 039.ord 20441 ICROFIItilit0 SECTION 4. That the Zoning Ordinance and Map of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, approved on the 27th day of August 1973, as amended from time to time, except as herein changed, shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. SECTION 6. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs by granting the aforesaid zoning change, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the day of , 19 ATTEST: /6/"-elP City Secretary MANOR CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS APPROVED: ,.%rii DAY OFf4 , 19 8� HAL GEORGE, CITY ATTORNEY 039.ord ant City Attor 7 .3 Field notes for a 2.465 acre tract of land out of Lot 12, Section D, Paisley's Subdivision of the Hoffman Tract, as shown by map of record in Volume A „page 28, Nueces County, Texas, Map Records, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a 5/8" iron rod in the most northerly corner of Gollihar Park Subdivision Unit 2, as shown by map of record in Volume 16, page 1, Nueces County, Texas, Map Records, the most easterly corner of Lot 22, Block 1, Gollihar Park Unit 2, as shown by Map of record in Volume 50, page 128, Nueces County, Texas, Map Records, said point being in the Southwest right of way line of Gollihar Road; Thence S.28°20'W., with the northwest line of said Gollihar Park Subdivision Unit 2, a distance of 464.65 feet to a 5/8" iron rod in the most southerly corner of said Lot 22, for the most easterly and beginning corner of the tract herein described; Thence continuing S.28°20'W., with the northwest line of said Gollihar Park Subdivision Unit 2, at 520.53' feet pass the most westerly corner of Lot 21, Block 1, said Gollihar Park Subdivision Unit 2, in all, a distance of 570.53 feet to a 1" iron pipe in the Southwest right of way line of Juarez Street, and in the most northerly corner of an existing city park for the most southerly corner of the tract herein described; from whence the most southerly corner of said Lot 12, Section D, bears S.28° -20'W., 245.0 feet; Thence N.61°40'W, a distance of 35.0 feet to a 11" iron pipe for a corner of the tract herein described; Thence N.28°20'E., with a line that is 35.0 feet northwest of and parallel to the northwest line of said Gollihar Park Subdivision Unit 2, a dis- tance of 163.95 feet to a 1" iron pipe for an interior corner of the tract herein described; Thence N.61°40'W., a distance of 215.00 feet to a 1" iron pipe for the most westerly corner of the tract herein described; Thence N.28°20'E., with a line that is 250.0 feet northwest of and parallel to the northwest line of said Gollihar Park Subdivision Unit 2, a distance of 406.58 feet to a 1" iron pipe for the most northerly corner of the tract herein described; Thence S.61°40'E., with the Southwest line of said Lot 22, Block 1, a distance of 250.0 feet to the point of beginning.
