APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF ARTS SUPPORT FUNDS TO 24 ARTS
ORGANIZATIONS, THE PERMANENT ART TRUST FUND, AND A SPECIAL
OPPORTUNITY FUND.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby approved the allocation of arts
support funds to 24 arts organizations, the Permanent Art Trust Fund, and a
Special Opportunity Fund, all as more fully set forth in the attached Exhibit A.

AGREEMENT
KNOW ALL BY THESE PRESENTS:
This agreement by and between the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (hereinafter called
"City") and the Corpus Christi Arts Council (hereinafter called "Grantee").
WITNESSETH:
1. The Grantee agrees to provide its 1989 service program and activities to
include: 1)Newsletter production and distribution; 2) Development for of business
and arts partnerships; 3) Implementation of disciplinary alliances, informa-
tion/referral, technical assistance, arts advocacy on a local and national basis,
expansion of resources library, consortium correspondence, and; 4) Residencies and
workshops. The period of financial support to the Grantee shall be from December
1, 1988 to December 31, 1989.
2. In consideration of the provision of the above program, the City agrees to pay
to grantee the sum of $20,030 on the condition that said sum be used to assist the
Grantee toward the expenses of the same. Expenses will be limited to professional
fees for artists, royalties, stagehands, art supplies, equipment rental, space
rental, insurance, props, costumes, exhibits, advertising, printing costs and
postage. No grant funds will be eligible for any administrative or other recurring
costs.
3. Grantee shall recognize the City of Corpus Christi as contributor on all
advertisements and publications regarding the activities which are the subject of
this grant.
The Grantee further agrees that a statement of revenues and expenditures and an
activity report including the estimated audience for the program will be submitted
to the City within 60 days after December 31, 1989, so that the application of the
above amount to eligible expenses can be verified and the cost of the event can be
sufficiently related to the benefits received by the citizens of Corpus Christi.
