RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION AND SUBMIS-
SION OF A NOMINATION FOR FEDERAL ENTERPRISE ZONE
DESIGNATION FOR THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND
DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NOMINA-
TION AND ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION.
WHEREAS, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development has been authorized to designate up to 100 federal enterprise zones, 33
in the rural category and 67 in the urban category;
WHEREAS, designation as a Federal Enterprise Zone may affect participation
in programs of the Department of Housing and Urban Development and other Federal and
State programs.
IT IS, THEREFORE, RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
Section 1. The preparation and submission of a nomination for Federal
Enterprise Zone is hereby authorized; and that the City Manager is authorized to
execute the nomination and all supporting documentation for designation of the City
of Corpus Christi as a federal enterprise zone.
