Establishing a Firemen's Pension Advisory Committee
to study the effects of inflation on present and
future retirees and make recommendations for changes
in the pension benefits plan and governing State
legislation.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established a firemen's pension
advisory committee to study the effects of inflation on present
and future retirees and make recommendations for changes in the
pension benefits plan and governing State legislation.
SECTION 2. The committee shall consist of 6 members as follows:
Four persons selected by the City Council:
One member of the City Council.
One member of the local delegation to the Texas
Legislature.
One firefighter currently serving as a trustee of the
Firemen's Relief and Retirement Fund.
One retired firefighter.
The City Manager or his representative.
The president of the Firefighters' Association, or his
representative.
SECTION 3. The committee shall complete its work and be
dissolved by June 1, 1989.
