HomeMy WebLinkAbout020624 ORD - 03/14/1989AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20208 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON THE FOLLOWING STREET: Whitecap Boulevard 1. Whitecap Boulevard, from Park Road 22 eastward to the public beach; and 2. Windward Drive, from Whitecap Boulevard to Leeward Drive; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 20208, passed and approved February 16, 1988, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following street: Whitecap Boulevard 1. Whitecap Boulevard, from Park Road 22 eastward to the public beach; and 2. Windward Drive, from Whitecap Boulevard to Leeward Drive; a substantial copy of which assessment roll is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit A. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is pa sed and shall take effect upon firs eading as an emergency measure this the f day of ffl1tJ('±\ 19 ATTEST: City Secretary YOR APPROVED: DAY OF q\Loyyan 19a7 HAL GEORGE, CITY ATTORNEY y Ass stant 208AG036. ord ty ttorney THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS MICROFILMED 20624 Final Assessment Roll Whitecap Boulevard Relocation The Whitecap Boulevard relocation shall include the construction of a new street section and improvements to the following street. Whitecap Boulevard 1. Whitecap Boulevard, from Park Road 22 eastward to the public beach, and 2. Windward Drive, from Whitecap Boulevard to Leeward Drive. These streets shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth to -- permit the laying of a standard 6" curb and gutter section, 6" compacted subgrade, 11" cement stabilized base and 3" Type "D" Hot -Mix asphaltic con- crete pavement. The streets will be 62 feet in width measured from the back of the curb and transitioning to 40 feet in width on the public beach section. There will be 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways constructed as shown on the plans. Sidewalks will not be constructed under this contract. The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the City's current assessment policy.
