AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20190 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER
TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS
ON THE FOLLOWING STREET:
1. S.H. 44 from West of Clarkwood East for 4100 linear
feet to Gilliam Lane;
2. F.M. 2292 from S.H. 44 South for 2050 linear feet;
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 20190, passed and approved February 2,
1988, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll
and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following
street:
1. S.H. 44 from West of Clarkwood East for 4100 linear
feet to Gilliam Lane;
2. F.M. 2292 from S.H. 44 South for 2050 linear feet;
a substantial copy of which assessment roll is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, marked Exhibit "A".
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for
efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the
final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is
made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration
and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is
$sed and sha l) take effect upon firsteading as an emergency measure this the

Final Assessment Roll
State Highway 44 and Farm Market Road 2292
1. S.H. 44 From West Of Clarkwood East For 4100 Linear Feet
To Gilliam Lane
2. F.M. 2292 From S.H. 44 South For 2050 Linear Feet
This project shall include improvements to S.H. 44 and F.M. 2292 within the
described limits. Both roadways will be constructed 62' in width measured
from back of the curb. The roadway will be constructed by excavation to a
width and depth to permit the laying of a standard 6" curb and gutter section.
S.H. 44 will be constructed with an 8" lime stabilized subgrade, a 14" flexible
base, a 6" Asphaltic Type "B" base and 11/2" of Type "D" Hot -Mix asphaltic con-
crete pavement. F.M. 2292 will be constructed with an 8" lime stabilized
subgrade, an 8" flexible base, a 21/2" Type "B" asphaltic base and 12" of Type
"D" Hot -Mix asphaltic concrete pavement. There will be a 5' wide reinforced
concrete sidewalk tied to the curb on the south side of S.H. 44 and a 4'
wide reinforced sidewalk constructed 1' off the property lines along F.M. 2292.
There will be 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways constructed as shown on
the plans.
This project is being constructed jointly by the City and the State Department
of Highways and Public Transportation and is an improvement assessment project.

Based on the low bid prices submitted by F. & E. Erector Co. and the City's
current assessment policy, owners of abutting property are assessed at the
following rates.
