CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE 35 FOOT LONG BY 60 FOOT WIDE
STUBOUT PORTION OF BURTON LANE IN LOT 3, BLOCK 3, MOORE
PLAZA; PROVIDING FOR REPLATTING.
WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for holding a hearing concerning
the closing of the 35 foot long by 60 foot wide stubout portion of Burton Lane
in Lot 3, Block 3, Moore Plaza, was given by publication and mailed to the last
known addresses of the owners of property abutting the public way and within 450
feet of the area proposed to be closed, and thereafter, pursuant to said notice,
public hearing was held during a meeting of the City Council of the City of
Corpus Christi on April 22, 1989, in accordance with the provisions of the City
Charter; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council after such hearing that
the aforesaid portion of right-of-way, proposed to be closed, is not needed now,
nor will it be within the foreseeable future needed as a public right-of-way,
and that the same should revert to the abutting property owners, subject to
certain specified conditions:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby closed and abandoned the 60 foot wide
by 35 foot long portion of Burton Lane in Lot 3, Block 3, Moore Plaza, as shown
by plat in Volume 12, Page 59, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, and described
by the metes and bounds which are attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked
Exhibit A, subject to the abutting property owners repl atti ng the property
within 180 days, and further subject to the area being closed and abandoned
being dedicated as an utility easement on the replat.

Lot 21, Block 12, Gardendale Addition No. 3,8 map of which is recorded in Volume 12, Page 59,
Map Records of Nueces County, Texas, a corner of Lot 3, Block 3, Moore Plaza, a map of which is
recorded in Volume 53, Pages 195 thru 197 of said Map Records and the West corner of this tract;
THENCE North 28°57'30" West, along the'Northweat bine of Burton Lane, 35.00 feet for an
interior corner of said Lot 3, Block 3, Moore Plaza and the North corner of this tract;
THENCE South 61°02'45" East, along the Northeast boundary line of Burton Lane, 60.00
feet for an interior corner of said Lot 3, Block 3, Moore a Plaza and the East corner of this tract;
THENCE South 28°57'30" West, along the Southeast boundary line of Burton Lane, 35.00
feet for the South corner of this tract;
