HomeMy WebLinkAbout020701 ORD - 06/27/1989AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 16782 WHICH AUTHORIZED AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND T & H DEVELOPMENT, DEVELOPER OF CREEKWAY SUBDIVISION, FOR JOINT FUNDING OF THE CREEKWAY BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION; AUTHORIZING A REFUND OF $16,071.43 PLUS INTEREST TO T & H DEVELOPMENT FOR THEIR PORTION OF THE COSTS FOR THE BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 16782, passed and approved by the City Council on December 23, 1981, which authorized an agreement between the City of Corpus Christi and T & H Development, developer of Creekway Subdivision, for joint funding of the Creekway Bridge construction, is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. That a refund of $16,071.43, plus interest, is hereby authorized to T & H Development for their portion of the costs for the bridge construction. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for efficient administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 'i`j day of r; , 19 , .
