HomeMy WebLinkAbout020703 ORD - 06/27/1989TEXAS: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20382 TO AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 1988-89 BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE ThE SELF-INSURANCE UNRESERVED FL O BALANCE TO THE RESERVE APPROPRIATION OF THE `.I'_T-TNSUTANCI FUEL; PRLVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 20382 passed and approved by the City Council on July 19, 1988, adopting the Fiscal Year 1988-89 Budget, be and the same is hereby amended to appropriate the Self -Insurance Unreserved Fund Balance to the Reserve Appropriation of the Self -Insurance Fund. SECTION 2. The amendment adopted herein to the fiscal year 1988-89 budget as submitted to the City Council by the City Manager be and is hereby adopted for filing with the County Clerk 01 Nueces County, Texas, as the Budget Amendment to the Budget previously adopted by Ordinance No. 20382, of the City of Corpus Christi, for the Fiscal Year beginning August 1, 1988, and ending July 31, 1989. SECTION 3. That upon the passage of this ordinance approving the attached Budget amendment of the City of Corpus Christi, for the Fiscal Year beginning August 1, 1988, and ending July 31, 1989, certain sums of money from all sources of City revenues, as described in said Budget, be, and they are hereby appropriated to cover the sums for expencitures and investments as provioed for each of the sEr.peral funds, departments, divisions and offices of the said City, as all said sums do appear in the said Budget amendment adopted and by this ordinance formally approved by the said City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, and said Budget and amendment being of record in the public archives of said City, is incorporated herein by reference. Notwithstanding any other provision to the contrary, the City Manager is authorized to make transfers within departments, divisors or purposes provided it is in accordance with Article IV, Section 3, of the City Charter. SECTION 4. SECTION 5. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance, for it is the ucfinite intent of this City iur:uril tEat eve:y section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or [rcvisier hereof be given full force and effect for its own purpose.
