CLOSING AND ABANDONING LENS DRIVE FROM
CIMARRON BOULEVARD TO OSO PARKWAY ADJACENT TO
LOT 36, BLOCK 13, KING'S CROSSING UNIT I, AND
LOT 17, BLOCK 24, FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL
FARM AND GARDEN TRACTS; AND A PORTION OF OSO
PARKWAY ADJACENT TO LOTS 3, 4, AND 5,
BLOCK 38, KING'S CROSSING UNIT I, AND LOT 17,
BLOCK 24, FLOUR BLUFF AND ENCINAL FARM AND
GARDEN TRACTS; SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS
LISTED BELOW.
WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for holding a
hearing concerning the closing of Lens Drive from Cimarron
Boulevard to Oso Parkway adjacent to Lot 36, Block 13, King's
Crossing Unit I, and Lot 17, Block 24, Flour Bluff and Encinal
Farm and Garden Tracts; and a portion of Oso Parkway adjacent to
Lots 3, 4, and 5, Block 38, King's Crossing Unit I, and Lot 17,
Block 24, Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts, was
given by publication and mailed to the last known addresses of
the owners of property abutting the public way and within 450
feet of the area proposed to be closed, and thereafter, pursuant
to said notice, public hearing was held at a meeting of the City
Council of the City of Corpus Christi on June 20, 1989, in
accordance with the provisions of the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council after
such hearing that the aforesaid portions of rights-of-way,
proposed to be closed, are not needed now, nor will they be
within the foreseeable future needed as public rights-of-way, and
that the same should revert to the abutting property owners,
subject to certain specified conditions:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1: That there is hereby closed and abandoned
Lens Drive from Cimarron Boulevard to Oso Parkway adjacent to
Lot 36, Block 13, King's Crossing Unit I, shown by plat in Volume
51, Pages 53-65, and Lot 17, Block 24, Flour Bluff and Encinal
Farm and Garden Tracts, shown by plat in Volume A, Pages 41-43,
Map Records, Nueces County, Texas; and a portion of Oso Parkway
adjacent to Lots 3, 4, and 5, Block 38, King's Crossing Unit I,
shown by plat in Volume 51, Pages 53-65, and Lot 17, Block 24,
Flour Bluff and Encinal Farm and Garden Tracts, shown by plat in
Volume A, Pages 41-43, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas; subject
to the applicant paying all costs to relocate existing utilities
in the Lens Drive area and to applicant replatting said property
within 180 days of passage of this ordinance.
