COMMENDING THE CARROLL TIGERS FOOTBALL TEAM FOR REACHING THE
STATE PLAYOFFS.
WHEREAS, the Carroll Tigers football team has compiled an
impressive record of 9 wins and 1 loss during the regular football
season; and
WHEREAS, the Tigers won the bi-district title by defeating
Austin Westlake this past week; and
WHEREAS, the Tigers will play San Antonio Converse -Judson in
the area round of the state playoffs this Friday at 7:30 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the Tigers have succeeded in reaching the state
playoffs for three consecutive years under Coach Jim Slaughter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby commends the
Corpus Christi Carroll Tigers football team for their accomplishments
this year in reaching the state football playoffs and wish them the
best of luck in the game this week against San Antonio Converse -
Judson.
