COMMENDING THE CALALLEN WILDCATS FOOTBALL TEAM FOR REACHING
THE STATE PLAYOFFS.
WHEREAS, the Calallen Wildcats football team has compiled an
impressive record of 10 wins and 0 losses during the regular football
season; and
WHEREAS, the Wildcats have won the District 30-4A title for
the second consecutive year; and
WHEREAS, the Wildcats gave an impressive performance in
their bid for the bi-district championship against Uvalde; and
WHEREAS, the Wildcats have succeeded in reaching the state
playoffs for five consecutive years under Coach Phil Danaher;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby commends the
Calallen Wildcats football team for their accomplishments this year in
reaching the state football playoffs.
