HomeMy WebLinkAbout020846 ORD - 12/12/1989AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20512 BY AMENDING SECTION 3 IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON THE FOLLOWING STREET: Allen School Area, Phase I 1. Prescott Street, from Seventeenth Street to Morgan Avenue, 2. Elizabeth Street, from Seventeenth Street to Brownlee Boulevard, 3. McKenzie Street, from Eighteenth Street to Brownlee Boulevard, and 4. Fourteenth Street, from Ayers Street to Morgan Avenue. AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 20512, passed and approved November 8, 1988, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following street: Allen School Area, Phase I 1. Prescott Street, from Seventeenth Street to Morgan Avenue, 2. Elizabeth Street, from Seventeenth Street to Brownlee Boulevard, 3. McKenzie Street, from Eighteenth Street to Brownlee Boulevard, and 4. Fourteenth Street, from Ayers Street to Morgan Avenue. a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A". SECTION 2. Prescott Street, from Seventeenth Street to Morgan Avenue, 9_. Elizabeth Street, from Seventeenth Street to Brownlee Boulevard. 3. McKenzie Street, from Sichteenth Street to Brownlee Boulevard, and 4. Fourteenth Street, Brom Avers Street to Horgan Avenue. These streets shall be constructed by excavation to a width and depth to permit the laving of a standard 6" curb and gutter section, 10" compacted subgrade, 6" or 8" compacted caliche base and or or 2" Type "D" Hot Mix asphaltic pavement. The residential streets shall be 28' wide and Elizabeth Street will be 40' wide and the streets will be constructed within the existing right-of-way. There will be 4' or 5' wide reinforced concrete sidewalks, 4" thick and 6" thick reinforced concrete driveways constructed as shown on the p The assessment rates have been calculated in accordance with the latest paving policy adopted by the City. Based on this policy and the low bid prices submitted by A.
