HomeMy WebLinkAbout020852 RES - 12/19/1989A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH HAAS PAVING COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF STREETS, PARKING LOTS, A BUS LOOP, IRRIGATION, AND LANDSCAPING AT THE TEXAS STATE AQUARIUM; AND APPROPRIATING $1,644,229.60. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Haas Paving Company for construction of streets, parking lots, a bus loop, irrigation, and landscaping at the Texas State Aquarium, all as more fully set forth in the plans and specifications and contract documents on file in the office of the City Secretary, all of which are made a part hereof by reference and according to the bid of Haas Paving Company of $1,068,083.50, including Additive Alternate No. 1, said bid being the lowest and most advantageous to the City of Corpus Christi. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $1,500,000.00 received from and subject to the sale of Certificates of Obligation; $129,213.00 from the Regional Transportation Authority participation; and $15,016.60 from the Texas State Aquarium Association participation for a total of $1,644,229.60 to be transferred to the Aquarium Bond Fund, applicable to the Texas State Aquarium Infrastructure Improvements, Contract No. 3.
