SUPPORTING PASSAGE
OF HOUSE BILL 1768
WHEREAS, waste minimization and recycling programs are increasing in
public interest and importance;
WHEREAS, the success of such programs requires easily accessible
information to citizens and public and private agencies; and
WHEREAS, House Bill 1768 has been introduced in the 72nd Texas
Legislature establishing a coordinated, single, comprehensive clearinghouse of such
information.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Corpus Christi supports House Bill 1768.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager and staff are directed to advise all local
legislators and other pertinent officials of this resolution, and to take all steps necessary to
support House Bill 1768.
