HomeMy WebLinkAbout021135 RES - 04/09/1991A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING PASSAGE OF HOUSE BILL 2536 WHEREAS, competitive bidding requirements do not recognize advantages of contracting with local businesses; and WHEREAS, House Bill 2536 has been introduced to allow cities to give a preference to a local bidder under certain circumstances; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City of Corpus Christi supports House Bill 2536. SECTION 2. That the City Manager and staff are directed to advise all local legislators and other pertinent officials of this resolution, and to take all steps necessary to support House Bill 2536.
