HomeMy WebLinkAbout021201 ORD - 07/30/1991AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH PROGRESSIVE STRUCTURES, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $294,650 TO EXPAND THE PARKDALE BRANCH LIBRARY; APPROPRIATING $90,000 FROM THE LIBRARY BOND FUND CONSTRUCTION INTEREST APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 269-601-606.95, PARKDALE LIBRARY EXPANSION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Progressive Structures, Inc. for the Parkdale Library Expansion. SECTION 2. That there is hereby appropriated $90,000 from the Library Bond Fund Construction Interest applicable to Project No. 269-601-606.95, Parkdale Library Expansion. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Councilmembers, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordiances at three regular meetings so that this ordinanceriss passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the So day of \, 1991.
