HomeMy WebLinkAbout021232 ORD - 09/10/1991AN ORDINANCE RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 19231, PASSED MARCH 18, 1986, WHICH AUTHORIZED THE CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF 17TH STREET AND ABANDONED THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 8, HOME PLACE ADDITION, BOTH SHOWN BY PLAT IN VOLUME A, PAGE 14, MAP RECORDS, NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS, DUE TO NON -EXECUTION OF THE REQUIRED CONDITIONS BY THE APPLICANT; APPROPRIATING $12,675 FROM THE STREET TRUST ACCOUNT AND REFUNDING THIS AMOUNT TO KAFFIE COMPANIES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 19231 passed March 18, 1986, which authorized the closure of a portion of 17th Street and abandoned the alley in Block 8, Home Place Addition, both shown by plat in Volume A, Page 14, Map Records, Nueces County, Texas, due to non -execution of the required conditions by the applicant and appropriating $12,675 from the Street Trust Account and refunding this amount to Kaffie Companies, which was paid by them to the City. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed .1 d s all t e effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the /0 day of ,40 a. i t 1991.
