AMENDING THE CITY'S CODE OF ORDINANCES, SECTION 53-252, TO PROHIBIT CURBSIDE
PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON THE INTERSTATE 37 FRONTAGE ROAD EASTBOUND, NORTH AND
SOUTH SIDES, FROM A POINT APPROXIMATE 900 FEET EAST OF HART ROAD TO A POINT
APPROXIMATELY 2,100 FEET EAST OF HART ROAD; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City's Code of Ordinances, Section 53-252, Schedule III -Parking prohibited at
all times on certain streets, be amended by adding the following underlined language:
Sec. 53-252. Schedule III - Parking prohibited at all times on certain streets.
In accordance with section 53-172 and when signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person
shall at any time park a vehicle upon any of the following described streets or parts of streets:
Interstate 37 Frontage Road. eastbound. north and south sides. from a point approximately 900 feet east
of Hart Road to a point approximately 2,100 feet east of Hart Road.
SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision
of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by fmal judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall
not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the
definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be
given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of Corpus Christi
by publishing the caption stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance, this ordinance to become effective upon such
publication.
