CLOSING THE FAR EAST TRAVEL LANE OF THE NORTHBOUND SIDE OF THE
HARBOR BRIDGE AND THE EAST SHOULDER LANE OF THE NORTHBOUND
SIDE OF THE NUECES BAY CAUSEWAY TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ON SUNDAY,
OCTOBER 27, 1991, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:00 AND 8:00 A.M. FOR THE
PURPOSE OF AN ORGANIZED BICYCLE RIDE SPONSORED BY THE CORPUS
CHRISTI CYCLE CLUB; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the far east travel lane of the northbound side of the
Harbor Bridge and the east shoulder lane of the northbound side of the Nueces Bay
Causeway be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday, October 27, 1991, between the hours of
6:00 and 8:00 a.m. for the purpose of an organized bicycle ride sponsored by the Corpus
Christi Cycle Club.
SECTION 2. That the Corpus Christi Cycle Club shall provide insurance in
form and amount as required by the City and naming the City as an additional insured.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for the efficient
and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon
ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this the /j�, day of [it ej-P- e-

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency
exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
three regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this
ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
