Home My WebLink About021290 ORD - 11/26/1991AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 53, SECTION 53-257, SCHEDULE VIII, PARKING METER ZONES ESTABLISHED BY CONVERTING PARKING METERS ON SPECIFIC STREET SECTIONS FROM LONG-TERM, TEN- HOUR PARKING METER TO SHORT-TERM TWO-HOUR PARKING METERS; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 53, Section 53-257, Schedule VIII, parking meter zones established be amended as follows: (b) Meter Zone No. 2 is established as a ten-hour meter zone in which parking shall be limited to a minimum of one (1) hour and a maximum of ten (10) hours upon the deposit of one dime coin or two nickel coins for each hour, and ten (10) dime coins or combination of quarter coins, dime coins, and nickel coins for the (10) hours, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., on any day, except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays officially set by the city council, upon the following streets: (2) Lawrence Street-(3outlrsidconly)-(both sides)Water Street to Shoreline Boulevard. (25) Peoples Street -(south side only) -Lower Broadway to Mesquite Street. (d) Meter Zone No. 4 is established as a maximum two-hour meter zone in which parking shall be limited to thirty (30) minutes upon deposit of one five -cent coin, one hour upon deposit of one dime or two (2) five -cent coins and two (2) hours upon deposit of two (2) dime coins or four (4) five -cent coins or combination of dime coins and five -cent coins, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day, except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays officially set by the city council, upon the following streets: RP1840.032.kp 02j.200 (2) (4) (5) described in subsection (c), Meter Zone No. 5 (item 2) sides) -Lower Broadway to Mesquite Street. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
