APPROPRIATING $620,000 FROM THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST
FUNDS FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT EXPENDITURES; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That there is hereby appropriated $620,000
from the Law Enforcement Trust Funds ($171,000 from 111-000-243.12-
000; $449,000 from 111-000-243.13-000) for the 1991/92 Fiscal Year
as follows:
a. CAD/RMS related payments $490,000
b. Additional equipment purchases 45,000
c. Imprest funds 45,000
d. Training travel 20,000
e. Teen court 20,000
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or
five council members, copy attached, to find and declare an
emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such
finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension
of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances
at three regular meetings to that this ordinance is passed and
shall take effect upon fist reading as an emergency measure this

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency
exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
three regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this
ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
