CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
On this the 4th day of February, 1992, the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi,
Texas convened in Regular Meeting, with the following members of said Council present,
to -wit:

with the following absent: 4 EU (s U E it R- E k 0 constituting a quorum, at which
time the following among other business was transacted:
City Manager Juan Garza presented for the consideration of the Council a
resolution. The resolution was read by the City Secretary. The resolution was carried by
the following vote.
AYES: All members of the city council shown present above
voted "Aye", except
NAYS: %V O /V E
The Mayor announced that the resolution had been passed. The resolution is as
follows:

A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTENTION
TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 1992; AND
RESOLVING OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT
WHEREAS, it is hereby officially found and determined that the holding of
the meeting at which this Resolution is to be considered is required as soon as possible and
without delay for the immediate and efficient utilization of physical resources in the city and
for the efficient and effective administration of the City's affairs; and that said meeting was
open to the public, and public notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting was
given, all as required by Vernon's Ann. Civ. St. Art. 6252-17, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
Section 1. That attached hereto and marked "Exhibit A" is a form of notice,
the form and substance of which are hereby passed and approved.
Section 2. That the City Manager shall cause said notice to be published, in
substantially the form attached hereto, in the Corpus Christi Caller -Times, a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, for two consecutive weeks, the date
of the first publication to be before the fourteenth day before the day tentatively proposed
for authorizing the issuance of the Certificates of Obligation as shown in said notice.
Section 3. That all provisions or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 4th day of February, 1992.

EXHIBIT A
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE
CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Corpus Christi, Texas, to issue the interest bearing certificates of obligation of the City
entitled "City of Corpus Christi, Texas Combination Tax and Municipal Hotel Occupancy
Tax Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 1992", for the purpose of paying contractual
Obligations to be incurred by the city, to -wit, the construction of improvements related to
the berthing of the U.S.S. Lexington, environmental mitigation therefore, improvements for
public utilities and public access thereto, and the acquisition of museum exhibits to be
located thereon, and the payment of fiscal, engineering and legal fees incurred in connection
therewith. The City Council tentatively proposes to authorize the issuance of said
Certificates of Obligation at its regular meeting place in the City Hall at a meeting to
commence at 2 o'clock, p.m., on the 31st day March, 1992. The maximum amount of
Certificates of Obligation indebtedness that may be authorized for such purpose is
$3,000,000. The City Council presently proposes to provide for payment of such Certificates
of Obligation from the levy of taxes and from surplus revenues derived from the collection
of the City's municipal hotel occupancy tax.
