AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 53, SECTIONS 53-252 AND
53-253, TO RESTRICT CURBSIDE PARKING ON CERTAIN AREAS OF AYERS
STREET; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 53, Section 53-253, is hereby
amended by deleting the following:
Hours Stopping Standing
Name of Street or Parking Prohibited
Ayers Street, south side, from Baldwin
Boulevard to Tenth Street and from Seventh
Street to Ocean Drive
Ayers Street, north side, from Ocean
Drive to Seventh Street and from Tenth
Street to Baldwin Boulevard
and in lieu thereof adding
Ayers Street, south side, from Seventh
Street to Ocean Drive, excepting the
section between Santa Fe and Second Streets
Ayers Street, north side, from Ocean
Drive to Seventh Street, excepting the
section between Santa Fe and Third Streets
Between 7:00 a.m. and
9:00 a.m.
Between 4:00 p.m. and
6:00 p.m.
Between 7:00 a.m. and
9:00 a.m.
Between 7:00 a.m. and
9:00 a.m.
SECTION 2. That the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 53, Sections 53-252 is hereby
amended adding to the list of streets and locations the following:
Ayers Street, both sides, between Tenth Street and Norton Street, except where head -in parking has
been previously designated and approved by the city traffic engineer on Ayers Street between
Brownlee and Clemmer Street.
SECTION 3. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of
a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council

that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full
force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 4. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the
City of Corpus Christi by publishing the caption stating in substance the purpose of the ordinance,
this ordinance to become effective upon such publication.
