AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERIM AGREEMENT
WITH CORPUS CHRISTI LIMOUSINES UNLIMITED, INC. AND
EXPIRING UPON COMMENCEMENT OF THE LONG-TERM LEASE
AGREEMENT FOR A AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an
interim agreement effective May 1, 1992, and expiring upon commencement of the long-
term lease agreement with Corpus Christi Limousines Unlimited, Inc. for a airport shuttle
service, all as more fully set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof,
the bid of Corpus Christi Limousines Unlimited, Inc. being the most advantageous to the
City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate
action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of
an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to
consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance
is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 211

AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE AGREEMENT
THIS CORPUS CHRISTI LIMOUSINES UNLIMITED, INC., AIRPORT SHUTTLE
SERVICE SHORT TERM CONCESSION AGREEMENT (this "Short -Term
Agreement") is entered into by and between the City of Corpus
Christi, a municipal corporation having home rule powers under the
laws of the State of Texas (the "City") and Corpus Christi
Limousines Unlimited, Inc., a Texas Corporation licensed to do
business in Texas, (the "Concessionaire"); and
WHEREAS, the City owns and operates the City of Corpus Christi
International Airport, located at 1000 International Drive, Corpus
Christi, Nueces County, Texas (the "Airport"); and
WHEREAS, the contract presently in effect with Texas Riviera
Transportation Service expires April 30, 1992, and Corpus Christi
Limousines Unlimited, Inc. has submitted the best proposal to
furnish this essential service to the public beginning May 1, 1992.
WHEREAS, Concessionaire desires to provide a shuttle service
at the Airport for the use and benefit of passengers arriving at or
departing from the Airport during this peak season prior to the
execution and approval of a long-term agreement with the City; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, and the
charges, fees, rentals, covenants and agreements contained herein,
the parties agree as follows:
Article I
CONCESSION PREMISES, PRIVILEGES, AND TERMS
The "Concession Premises" covered herein shall be within the
confines of the Corpus Christi International Airport, 1000
International Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas, as more fully described
in the proposed Long Term Concession Agreement a copy of which is
on file with the City Secretary's office and the Department of
Aviation (the "Long -Term Agreement"). All terms, representations,
and covenants contained in the Long -Term Agreement, including all
attachments and specifically including location of the Concession
Premises, shall govern this Short -Term Agreement, except the length
of the Short -Term Agreement which is set out herein.

Article II
LENGTH OF AGREEMENT
This Short -Term Agreement shall expire no later than ten (10)
months from the execution hereof or upon the effective date of the
Long -Term Agreement, whichever occurs sooner. In no event shall
this Short -Term Agreement exceed ten (10) months duration from the
date first written below and the City may exercise all rights
pursuant to the Long -Term Agreement, incorporated herein by
reference, for the termination of this Short -Term Agreement or to
acquire repossession of the Concession Premises.
Acceptance and approval of this Short -Term Agreement shall not
be construed or deemed approval of the Long -Term Agreement by the
City, such decision and approval of the Long -Term Agreement being
within the sole discretion as provided by the and subject to the
Charter of the City of Corpus Christi and the laws of the State of
Texas.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, the parties have exticuted this Short -Term
Agreement to be effective as of PX !, ::`*1 214 , 1992.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an emergency
exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
three regular meetings; I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this
ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
