AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 021279 BY ADDING APPROVED
UTILITY CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR FISCAL YEAR
1991-92; APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM THE TRUST
FUND TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND; AND
APPROPRIATING $7,341,909; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance 021279 on November 5,
1991, confirming the adoption of the five year capital improvement program and
appropriating the fiscal year 1991-92 capital improvement fund; but utility projects were not
included, and consideration of utility projects was deferred until a later date; and,
WHEREAS, certain utility projects are needed for the safety, health, and
welfare of the citizens of the City of Corpus Christi.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 021279 adopting the Five -Year Capital
Improvement Program - 1991-1996, is hereby amended to provide funding in Fiscal Year
1991-92 for the utility capital improvement projects listed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
SECTION 2. That the transfer of the balance in the trust fund accounts
entitled "Padre Island Water Escrow" and "Whitecap Plant Expansion" to the 1991-92 Fiscal
Year Capital Improvement Fund is hereby approved.
SECTION 3. That the following additional amounts for a total of $7,341,909
is hereby appropriated from the Capital Improvement Fund as follows:

SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council
members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate

consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordina4ce

exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon

rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the present meeting
of the City Council.
