HomeMy WebLinkAbout021408 ORD - 06/02/1992AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $219,000 FROM THE WESLEY SEALE DAM MAINTENANCE FUND INTO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FUND AND APPROPRIATING $219,000 FROM THE NO. 205 WATER BOND FUND, PROVIDING FOR DESIGN SERVICES TO REHABILITATE THE WESLEY SEALE DAM SPILLWAY GATES, APPLICABLE TO PROJECT NO. 205-601-604.19, WESLEY SEALE DAM SPILLWAY GATE REHABILITATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That there is hereby authorized the transfer of $219,000 from the Wesley Seale Dam Maintenance Fund into the Capital Improvements Fund and that there is hereby appropriated $219,000 from the No. 205 Water Bond Fund providing for design services to rehabilitate the Wesley Seale Dam Spillway Gates, applicable to Project No. 205-601-604.19, Wesley Seale Dam Spillway Gate Rehabilitation. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need to take immediate action to preserve and protect public property by expediting the construction of public improvements, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the 2, day of , l9 ATTEST: Secretary / MAYOR APPROVED: )`- DAY OF `m THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI J , 19 `�), JAMES R.
