HomeMy WebLinkAbout021480 ORD - 09/15/19921 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 53, TRAFFIC, SO AS TO REFLECT THE REORGANIZATION OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNALS, SIGNS, AND MARKINGS AND PARKING CONTROL ACTIVITIES. WHEREAS, the budget for fiscal year 1992-93 adopted by the City Council reflects the reorganization of the traffic signals, signs, and markings and parking control activities; and WHEREAS, the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 53, TRAFFIC, should be amended to reflect the reorganization. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Code of Ordinances, Chapter 53, TRAFFIC, is hereby amended as follows: a. The words "city manager, or such officers or employees of the City designated by the city manager," shall be substituted for and replace the words "director of traffic engineering", "city traffic engineer", "traffic engineer", and "director of traffic and transit" where appearing in sections 53-27, 53-70, 53-76, 53-78, 53-102, 53-104, 53-113, 53-114, 53-115, 53-122, 53-123, 53-131, 53-132, 53-141, 53-142, 53-148, 53-149, 53-150, 53-151, 53-152, 53-160, 53-161, 53-163, 53-164, 53-175, 53-176, 53-189, 53-195, and 53-250. b. The words "department designated by the city manager" shall be substituted for and replace the words "department of traffic engineering" and "division of traffic engineering" where appearing in section 53-27 and 53-195. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
