HomeMy WebLinkAbout021498 ORD - 10/13/1992AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20087, PASSED AND APPROVED ON DECEMBER 1, 1987, BY AMENDING SECTION 3 OF SAID ORDINANCE IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS: South Padre Island Drive (S.H. 358) Park Road 22 and NAS Drive Interchange From East of the Oso Bay Bridges to East of Laguna Shores Road; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 20087, passed and approved on December 1, 1987, be amended by amending Section 3 so as to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments levied against owners of abutting property on the following street: South Padre Island Drive (S.H. 358) Park Road 22 and NAS Drive Interchange, from East of the Oso Bay Bridges to East of Laguna Shores Road. a substantial copy of which assessment role is attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked Exhibit "A." SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for efficient and effective administration of City affairs by the adoption of the final, corrected assessment roll as aforesaid, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at three regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed .ltd shal takeefect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the l3 dayof (I(X I , 1992.
